Services For Birth Mothers

Pregnant? > Birth Mothers

Whether you just found out you are pregnant or you are ready to deliver, the Miriam Project can help you develop an adoption plan for your child. We will spend time getting to know you and help you process the emotions that accompany placing your child for adoption.

The Miriam Project will support you during this time and provide counseling for loss and adjustment issues, should you be interested. It is also possible for you to receive pictures, letters and visits with the child after your child has been placed with an adoptive family. Services available to you include:

  • Objective and confidential assistance as you decide on a plan that is best for you and your child
  • Education about adoption
  • Emotional and spiritual support
  • Available Christian adoptive families who have been carefully assessed and prepared to parent
  • Health and legal guidance
  • Pre-placement counseling and preparation
  • Post-adoption support
  • Open or confidential adoptions

You do not need to live in Anderson to be eligible for these free services. If you are interested in speaking with a staff member, please contact us. We would love to hear your story.
